Wyoming Promise Initiative Conditionally Certified

As of this morning, Wyoming Promise submitted to the Wyoming Secretary of State our final proposed language for a citizens’ initiative that we hope to get approved for the November 2018 ballot. Within a few hours after we submitted our final language, the Wyoming Secretary of State gave us his conditional certification of our petition. We now have 30 days in which to gather the signatures of 100 sponsors of our proposed initiative. Once we have gathered those signatures, and the Secretary of State confirms them, we will have permission to begin gathering signatures from all over the state.

If you would like to be one of the 100 initial sponsors of the legislation, please contact one of the Committee of Applicants by email or by emailing info@wyomingpromise.org.

We are thrilled to be working with the good folks at American Promise, a national organization that is leading the charge to get a 28th Amendment proposed. Stay tuned for more information as we build our movement to reclaim our democracy!

If you’d like to read the initiative in full you can do so here.

ABOUT US

We’re advocating for a 28th amendment to the United States Constitution to overturn the 2010 United States Supreme Court decision Citizens United v. FEC, and thereby create space for campaign finance reforms at the national and state-levels.
